Q: Why does the display screen turn black when connected to a video capture card?
A: The black screen of the screen capture may be caused by the HDCP security protection of the capture card being activated. Check whether the HDCP of the capture card is turned off. If not, please turn off the HDCP manually.
Q: Can I capture a screen from my monitor to my computer/laptop?
A: No. The capture card is to capture the screen on the source device, and the capture end must be the device connected to the HDMI port, such as computer host, phone, tablet, PS3/4, Nintendo Switch, set-top box, DSLR, camcorder, and action cam. The monitor is not the source device, so it can not capture the screen.
Q: Why can’t the video capture card capture audio?
A: It may be caused by improper settings of the capture software. Right-click on the live screen, and the properties will appear, click on the audio output, and select directsound to confirm.
Q: Why the picture I recorded with LENTION video capture card is not 1920*1080P@60HZ?
A: You need to set the capture software to set the video output to 1920*1080P@60HZ, find the settings – video – FPS and set the frame rate to 60.
